Sydney University Village (SUV) and Stucco (the University of Sydney Housing Co-operative) provide accommodation within walking distance of the Camperdown/Darlington Campus. Sydney University Village offers an independent living experience in self-catered apartments and a strong focus on residential life. Stucco is a housing co-operative for low income students.

Sydney University Village

Location: 90 Carillon Avenue, Newtown
Type: single bedroom in own or shared unit.

Cost: $256.80–$449.80 per week

Inclusions: Utilities, bed and mattress, study space with desk, chair and bookshelves, wardrobe and telephone. Fully equipped modern kitchen, bathroom, lounge and dining room in each unit.

Not provided: Personal electrical items.

Facilities: Recreation lounge, communal kitchen, café, convenience store, resource centre with computers linked to the University of Sydney network, printing and copying facilities, internet and car parking available for additional costs.

Additional costs: Non-refundable fees of $80 for application, registration fee $125, data and telephone connection fee $175, carpet cleaning $25, and a refundable security deposit of $1027–$1799. Car parking is available for $32 per week.

Eligibility: All University of Sydney students can apply.

Stucco

Location: 197-207 Wilson Street, Newtown

Type: single bedrooms in shared 4 bedroom units or 5 bedroom terraces

Cost: $73 per week

Inclusions: An unfurnished single bedroom in a shared unit with kitchen, bathroom and telephone.

Not provided: All furniture for your bedroom, linen, towels, personal electrical items and some household items may be required (to share with others).

Facilities: Communal courtyard, gardens, sundeck and a hall with a piano and pool table. Shared laundry facilities and close access to trains and buses.

Additional costs: Electricity and phone bills, and bond of $292.

Eligibility: All full time University of Sydney students who are Australian citizens or permanent residents and are currently receiving a Centrelink benefit.
