The study abroad internship program gives you the opportunity to reinforce your academic study with relevant industry experience. As an intern you will complete:

  • 15 days/120 hours of industry placement
  • 8 hours of professional development workshops
  • 4 reflective journals (400 words each)
  • 1 final project report (2500 words).

The study abroad internship is worth 6 credit points. In general, students selected for the program will enrol in 3 units plus the internship.

Eligibility

Study abroad internships are allocated on a competitive basis. To be considered for this program you need to:

  • be enrolled at a university overseas;
  • have completed at least 1.5 years of university study;
  • have a strong academic background;
  • satisfy the English language requirements; and
  • successfully complete an interview process after your arrival in Sydney.

Please note: the International Office will make every effort to offer internships to all eligible students however we cannot guarantee your placement before we interview you. In case your application to the study abroad internship program is unsuccessful, you are advised to also enrol for an additional subject. Your placement will be finalised by the third week of classes.

Fees

The 2012/13 study abroad tuition fee is $11,640 Australian dollars per semester. There are no additional fees for the internship program.
