The University of Sydney is building a flagship home for the new University of Sydney Business School. This is a transformational opportunity for the Business School to consolidate its facilities, which are currently spread across nine buildings of varying standards on the Camperdown/Darlington campuses.
The state-of-the-art facilities will better support the University’s objective of providing a business school placed among the top-ranking universities worldwide.
The new precinct will provide facilities that include:
- a 550-seat lecture theatre
- three lecture theatres (300 seats each)
- eight 100-seat case study rooms
- 40 seminar rooms of varying size
- a learning hub
- 1500sqm of informal learning space
The Abercrombie Precinct will be located in the inner-city district of Darlington. We are integrating it into the local community and providing the southern entry to the University’s Camperdown/Darlington Campus.
The University believes that the precinct site has the potential to make an important contribution to the Darlington community. We will improve our interface from the Darlington side of the campus, while also respecting the current architecture and being sensitive to our neighbours’ concerns and feedback.
