Welcome to the Australian Centre for Microscopy & Microanalysis (ACMM), a cross-disciplinary research centre. Our world-class research explores physical and biological structures at the micro, nano and atomic scales.
Sydney Microscopy & Microanalysis (SMM) is a core facility of the university, one of the largest and most comprehensive of its kind in the world. Our instrumentation and technical expertise are available for all researchers. This is your portal to access the SMM people and equipment that can help you with your research.
Find us at the following Camperdown locations:
- Madsen Building (F09)
- Charles Perkins Centre (D17)
- Sydney Nanoscience Hub (A31)
- Brain & Mind Centre (94-100 Mallett St.)
By 15 July, 2016 all SMM users need to have an approved Research Data Management Plan (RDMP) in place to ensure access to your data is not adversely affected by the decommissioning of SMM’s data transfer server. Please choose Research Computing Optimised Storage (RCOS) when you apply, using the RDMP registration form.
From 1 July to 31 December 2016, SMM will trial a new fee schedule for University of Sydney users of instruments located in the Lvl 6 microscopy lab at CPC. There’s never been a better time to come and use the outstanding suite of equipment in this state-of-the-art facility.
TechFi is a technique finder, designed from a researcher's perspective to match techniques to experimental approaches. This unique, user-friendly online tool then directs you to instrument locations where the relevant technique and expert AMMRF staff are available to facilitate your data collection and analysis.
