Research Project
Rob is working with Dr Julie Cairney (ACMM), Dr Baptiste Gault (ACMM), and Dr Greg Lumpkin (ANSTO, IME) on "Radiation Tolerance of Complex Oxides". This project aims to synthesise bulk, single-phase samples of complex oxides and characterise these. These single phase samples will be irradiated and their respective radiation tolerance tracked. The final objective of this project is to identify potential sources of radiation resistance such as crystal structure and or chemical bonding.
