Background
Uli has extensive experience in desktop publishing, print and web design, and event management. After many years in advertising and internet agencies she enjoys working in the exciting world of science.
Role
Uli plays a mayor role in the ACMM's and AMMRF's communication activities, and she is responsible for the design and production of promotional materials (AMMRF News, annual reports, flyers, posters, newsletters etc.) as well as the ACMM and AMMRF websites. She manages the organisation of special events like the annual AMMRF Strategic Planning Workshops or symposia.
Highlights
- Committee member for Sydney's bid for the 18th International Microscopy Congress in September 2014.
- University Brand Representative to coordinate the ACMM's transition to the University's new corporate identity in 2010.
- Member of the local organising committee for the 52nd International Field Emission Symposium (IFES 2010).
- Member of the organising committee for the National Characterisation Roadshow, a joint initiative of the AMMRF, the Australian Sychchrotron, the National Imaging Facility, and the National Deuteration Facility (ANSTO).
- Chair of the task force for the organisation of the centre's 2008 Golden Jubilee activities.
- Co-Curator of the Macleay Museum Exhibition Small Matters – Exploring the World of Microscopy.
- Creation of the AMMRF's corporate design (logo, website, print material, display material).
- Organising Committee member of the 2006 Australian Conference on Microscopy and Microanalysis (ACMM19) in Sydney. Creation of the conference logo, website and print material.
