Research Interests

  • Understanding atomic scale chemical and physical processes of a selection of important minerals using Atom Probe Tomography (APT) and advanced electron microscopy techniques. Typical minerals studied are human tooth enamel, zircon, garnets and protective oxide scale on stainless steel.
  • Atomic scale characterization of nanoparticles in collaboration with the Australian Institute for Nanoscale Science and technology (AINST).
  • Giving scientific and technical support to internal and external APT users.
