Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) - Some applicants may be eligible for one of the Commonwealth Supported places on offer for 2012.

The Faculty of Agriculture and Environment has a number CSPs within the Master of Agriculture coursework program available for domestic students commencing in 2012. This means that the Commonwealth Government contributes toward the cost of your study and you pay a partial 'student contribution' amount. You will automatically be considered for a CSP when you submit an application for the Master of Agriculture program.

CSPs are awarded on academic merit, usually a credit average or in some instances substantial work experience in a related industry combined with a tertiary qualification. Each application will be assess on its individual merit.

If you are successful in securing a CSP, you have the choice to pay your fees up front or defer payment through the government's HECS-HELP Loan Scheme. The exact student contribution you pay will depend on the specific units of study in which you enrol FEES.

Application and CSP Timeline

  1. Download Application for Admission into a Master's degree by Coursework, Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate in 2012 and follow the instruction details. Complete and return to

  2. Applications are closing 31 October, EXTENDED:
    2.1Applicants will receive acknowledgement of their application and will
    be notified if they are required for an interview which will be
    held late November.
    2.2 First Round applicants will be notified of the outcome in early
    December.
  3. If places are still available a Second Round of applications will close on 13th January 2012.
    3.1 If required Second Round interviews will be held early February.
    3.2 Second Round applicants will be notified of the outcome by
    mid-February.
