Sustainable Horticulture
OVERVIEW
This specialisation provides you with a foundation of horticultural knowledge in the plant sciences, integrated pest management, soils, postharvest and marketing, that allows you to develop analytical and problem solving skills to address the current issues of sustainability in the industry. If you have a degree in science or economics and want to extend your knowledge and obtain research skills, or work in the industry and need to gain qualifications in horticulture to accelerate your career, then this specialisation will suit you. This degree allows you to focus on issues that relate to your experiences.

MODE OF DELIVERY
his course offers a flexible course structure to suit the specialisation undertaken. Classes may be held at one of or a combination of the following;Camperdown Campus, Australian Technology Park, Camden Campus. All classes are conducted on week days with no evening classes your Units of Study may comprise the following; a project report, group presentation, practical and field work, lectures , examinations or literature reviews. Extensive reading is an expectation of this course and all courses are conducted by recognised specialists in the field.
PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT
Many units are based on compulsory fieldwork carried out prior to the commencement of semester. All coursework students should be available to participate in fieldwork excursions two weeks prior to the commencement of semester.
