Science Alliance

What is Science Alliance?

Science Alliance aims to bridge the gap between science at Sydney and high school science to allow members to tap into the expertise of the scientific staff at the University of Sydney. Science Alliance is brought to you in conjunction with the Faculty of Science.

Over the years we have learnt that it is not only the high school community, but also the general public who have a passion for science and wish to hear and learn more about this exciting area. With this in mind, our Science Alliance membership has been expanded to include members from the general public, University community and the Faculty’s alumni.

Each year the school community programs and events bring over 10,000 school students to the University of Sydney campus to experience hands-on and exciting science programs. For example, every year Science Alliance hosts the Sydney Science Experience, a 3 day holiday camp with activities aimed to help participants solve a fictional crime.
Here's what some of the campers had to say:

Many Science Alliance programs are specifically designed to cater to the diverse needs of students who have a passion for science and would like to learn more about where this exciting area can take them.
