Aton Experimental Economics

Researchers at REEML have access to the experimental software developed by Aton Experimental Economics for research into emissions trading, energy markets, and other experimental decision settings. Aton Experimental Economics supports consultants, researchers and academics to conduct and use experimental economics methods in Australia and overseas. It has developed customised software for use in applied experimental research, such as:

  • Electricity markets
  • Gas markets
  • Emissions trading
  • Landscape auctions

Aton Experimental Economics is owned and directed by Karel Nolles. Karel became involved in experimental economics during his PhD research work commencing in the late 1990's. He has worked with the University of New South Wales (Senior Research Fellow in the Faculty of Commerce and Economics) and as a visiting research fellow with the ICES experimental economics labs at George Mason University. Karel is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer with the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics in the Faculty of Agriculture and Environmentat the University of Sydney.
