Professor Gordon MacAulay has experience and expertise in the quantitative analysis of markets, applied econometrics and computer modelling, the use of linear and non-linear mathematical programming systems particularly in relation to inter-regional trade using spatial equilibrium models and agricultural policy analysis. He has experience in evaluation of the economic benefits of research, competition policy (particularly in the grains and dairy sectors) and land-use and rural development in Vietnam. He chaired a committee of the Quality Wheat CRC to examine the factors in the economic payoffs to quality wheat breeding which has impacted the strategies of the CRC’s breeding program and is currently a supporting participant in the CRC for Innovative Grain Products.

Professor MacAulay has refereed numerous journal papers and book chapters and examined Masters and PhD theses.
