On Monday 3rd April we hosted a free public lecture by The Hon Mr Gibran Bassil in Sydney University's Heydon Laurence Lecture Theatre.
Mr Bassil spoke about foreign policy confronted by the riddle of open borders, and how nations can all benefit from the lessons learnt from the history of Lebanon.
Mr Bassil addressed the challenges and elaborated, and then the audience were invited to ask questions.

Public Forum with Mr Carlos Ghosn KBE

On 8th June, Chancellor Belinda Hutchinson AM and Prof Greg Whitwell, Dean, University of Sydney Business School, welcomed Carlos to Sydney University and escorted him to the New Law Building Auditorium.

Prof Fadia Ghossayn opened the Public Forum, thanking the forum's sponsor, Holdmark Property Group, and introducing the Chancellor who presented welcoming remarks.

Prof Whitwell thanked the Chancellor, inviting Carlos to be seated with him on the stage, and introduced him to the audience, before commencing the conversation.

2017 Scholarship Presentation and Talent Showcase Dinner

Following the public forum, the Scholarship Presentation Dinner and Talent Showcase was held in MacLaurin Hall with special guest speaker Mr Carlos Ghosn.

Tickets to the event were booked out weeks before and guests reported they were thoroughly impressed by every aspect of the evening's entertainment.
On entering the venue, guests were greeted by uplifting piano playing by our good friend, Suzanne Mansour.
The MC, Dr Elie Matar, made everybody feel welcomed and steered the program with ease and great skill.

Our event sponsor, Bank of Sydney, was thanked and represented by Mr Miltos Michaelas who delivered a short speech,

On 20th October we hosted a dinner in MacLaurin Hall with special guests Dr Samir and The Hon Sethrida Geagea. The high regard and popularity of Samir and Sethrida was reflected by the full house attendance and enthusiastic welcome by guests.

Excellent catering, audio visual presentations, live musical performances and guest speeches made for a memorable and enjoyable evening.
