Sister Alison Bush Medal for Indigenous Achievement
Scott Wilson's (GradDipIndigH (SubUse) ’10 MIndigH (SubUse) ’12) completion of his Master of Indigenous Health (Substance Use) has further qualified him as a national leader in the fields of Indigenous health and substance use in Australia.
As the Director of the Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Council (ADAC) for the past 17 years, he has played a significant role in the shaping of national policy on alcohol and drug use, and is a member of large number of organisations that work to address Indigenous substance misuse.
This includes acting as Deputy Co-Chair of the National Indigenous Drug and Alcohol Council, and serving on the Alcohol and Drugs Council of Australia, the National School Drug Education Committee and the National Drug Research Institute.
Scott was the recipient of the 1997 ADAC Australia Day Award, and received the Australian Centenary Medal for Services to the Community in 2003.
