'Harmandir Sahib' means Temple of God, located in Amritsar, India and built from gold leaves and white marble in 1574. This temple is also referred as the Golden Temple, famous for its four doors symbolising the openness of the Sikhs towards everyone and every religion. My children were born in Australia and this was their first trip to India. We visited the Golden Temple because this is the spiritual centre of Sikhism.
