Demi Sylvia Vlachos, November 2012
Shaken awake by my parents before 6am in the morning is not the usual definition of a holiday. But a call on the radio sent the message of a kill at the Luangwa River in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia. We drove down and watched the three lions devour the carcass, this one dominating the kill. We watched them for two hours straight as they dragged, rolled and ripped the dead buffalo. All my life I've been going to the bush and every moment is still as wonderful as the next.
