Hoi Weng Chong
Sue Duong , December 2011
Taken in the heart of Macau in Senado Square, this photograph of harsh oppression still remains the most powerful of which I have taken. While I was enjoying the sights of this city life, there was a gathering around a man whom I had found chained to the floor amongst his posters. His name was Hoi Weng Chong; an activist against the corruption within the Macau's commercial insurance. After torture and oppression, this photo captures his plead for justice amongst his many failed appeals in court.
