More on SAM's digital adventures
DEAR READERS…
In this, my first edition as editor of SAM, readers of the print magazine will notice a few changes to the magazine. Most of them are related to the exciting range of digital and online features that are now available on the SAM website, which enrich the readers’ experience.
Letters
Letters printed in SAM are now edited for length, and are published in full on the SAM website, allowing longer, more complex responses to be read in their entirety.
Online quiz and crossword
Readers are invited to apply their knowledge of the University to our new quiz. The first five correct answers will win prizes. Take the online quiz. The popular SAM crossword is available online.
Videos
Readers of the print edition will also notice the video icon on several stories. This means a video with an interview on the subject, or a related subject, is available online to complement the printed story.
Reader photos
The image icon appears at the end of several stories. This means we invite readers to send in any photos of their own experiences relating to the story they have just read.
Second look
You will find short summaries and photos relating to interesting stories that have been recently published in other Sydney faculty magazines, or online. Visit the Second look page.
Best of the SAM reader survey
The results of the SAM readership survey are available to view.
In the future, we will be increasingly using the SAM website and online extras to complement the print version of the magazine. I am excited about these new ways of engaging with our alumni and I hope you enjoy the enriched experience on offer.
