Biographical details

François Blanciak is a French architect, Senior Lecturer in Architecture at the University of Sydney, and author of SITELESS: 1001 Building Forms (MIT Press, 2008). He has worked for various international firms, including those of Frank Gehry and Peter Eisenman, before obtaining a Master’s and a PhD from the University of Tokyo, and founding his own practice. His work focuses on bridging the widening gap between theory and practice in the field of architecture, has been published in Volume and New Geographies, and is held in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
