Associate Professor Ross Anderson
Dr Ross Anderson is an Associate Professor in architecture at the University of Sydney. Having practiced as an architect in the offices of Daniel Libeskind and Zvi Hecker, both in Berlin, he moved to Cambridge to complete his PhD dissertation “From theBauhütteto the Bauhaus” under the supervision of Peter Carl. His research on modern European architecture, aesthetics and philosophy, has been published in various edited books and journals includingAA Files,The Bauhaus Annual,Architectural Histories,Drawing Matter Journal, theJournal of ArchitectureandArt Bulletin. He co-edited a book entitledModern Architecture and the Sacred, published by Bloomsbury Academic in 2020, and his monographThe Appian Way: Adolphe Appia and the Scenography of Modern Architecturewill be published by Park Books in March 2025.
