Professor Moore's teaching has focused on environment, behaviour and society in architecture, urban design and urban planning including facility evaluation, research methods and theory. Currently he teaches Modes of Inquiry: Methods of Research and Scholarship to all incoming MPhil and PhD students in the Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning at the University of Sydney and at the College of Architecture and Planning at Tongji University.

He regularly supervises Hons, MPhil and PhD students, post-doctoral fellows and visiting scholars researching issues of environment, behaviour and society. His former students are professors, heads of departments and leading researchers in Canada, the USA, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, New Zealand and other parts of the Asia-Pacific Region.
