WELCOME TO ARCHIVES MEDIABANK, THE UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY ARCHIVES PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEO BANK.

Archives Mediabank holds a wide variety of images held in the University Archives. There are images of University buildings, staff, students, events and surrounds taken from the 1850s to 1980s. At present over 5000 images are searchable. Not all images have been scanned, but researchers are welcome to send in the Request for Images form and we will upload copies to Mediabank.

Photographic sources

Many of the images held by the University Archives were taken by staff photographers for publication in the University of Sydney News and the Alumni magazine, the Gazette. Others have been donated from family collections, or during the production of departmental histories.
