Majors in the Department
There are two majors offered in the Department: requirements for these are outlined in the Units of Study section of the latest edition of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Handbook:

Keen students have the opportunity to spend time abroad studying. The department can help place you for one or two semesters at a university in an Arab country (e.g. Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait or the UAE). Speak to the Chair of Department for information.
Exchange agreements are underway between the University of Sydney and a number of universities in Arab countries - see the Student Exchange Office Website for up-to-date information.
