Bibliography
As part of our background research for the Rethinking Timelines project, we are developing a comprehensive bibliography of temporal modeling and timelines (published papers, web sites, applications), focusing on historical events and educational contexts (including museums and online digital history projects). Web sites are being captured in the ACL's Heurist bibliographic database (heuristscholar.org) and we are gradually transferring data from other sources (primarily EndNote).
It is planned to publish the bibliography here in 2010, as a series of web pages dynamically-generated by Heurist, with annotation and discussion pages, allowing us to easily maintain the bibliography up-to-date with new material, and allowing other interested parties to contribute to it.
An unclassified listing of websites (in simple alphabetic order) is available. Please note that the list has not been vetted or classified in any way, except for internal project use.
The same listing can be obtained within Heurist with the search tag:timelines sortby:title
