Halai Aixonides excavation 2015

Gain excavation experience and credit towards your Archaeology major by participating in a three-week field school in Athens.

During your time in Greece you will excavate at the ancient Athenian deme (town) site of Halai Aixonides and will also undertake workshops on the finds from the site.

This fieldwork is an exciting new collaborative venture between the University of Sydney’s Department of Archaeology and College Year at Athens (CYA).

In addition to the usual cost of enrolling in a University of Sydney undergraduate unit of study, you will be required to pay US$750 directly to CYA. This will include your accommodation in Athens in a self-catering apartment shared with other students taking the field school. You will also need to purchase a return airfare to Greece. Some bursary funds are available from the Department of Archaeology to help offset these costs.

Applications close 25 August 2017
