Postgraduate Coursework Programs

The Department of Art History offers postgraduate coursework degrees in art curating, and museum and heritage studies.

Art Curating

The Master of Art Curating degree is collaboratively designed and taught by the Department of Art History and Sydney College of the Arts (SCA). The program emphasises the skills required for curating in a variety of contemporary contexts, and trains the art curators of the future.

Museum and Heritage Studies

The postgraduate coursework program in Museum and Heritage Studies encompasses the study of museums, museology, and the development of the knowledge and skills necessary for museum practice and research. It offers you an academic and vocational learning program sourced from a wide range of disciplinary fields including history, art history, archaeology, anthropology, sociology, cultural studies, architecture, natural history and environmental studies.
