Biographical details
Jennifer Milam received her BA in Art History and Economics at Barnard College, Columbia University, and her MA and PhD in Art History from Princeton University. She has published articles in journals such as Art History, Burlington Magazine, Eighteenth-Century Studies and Eighteenth-Century Fiction. Her books include studies of Rococo art and architecture, the French painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard, and a co-edited volume on women artists and patrons in eighteenth-century Europe. She has held external research grants and fellowships awarded by the Australian Research Council, the Yale Center for British Art, the Australian Academy of the Humanities, Columbia University’s Institute for Scholars at Reid Hall, and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
