The Department of Art History are excited to invite you to enrol into the new Fieldwork Unit of Study, Art and the City to take place in Paris, France.

This course is open to Art History students eligible to enrol into Senior Advanced level 3000 units of study.

Essential Information

Cost
You will be required to remit two separate sums to the University of Sydney for participation in the Paris Fieldwork Unit.

The first amount of $2990.00 per person is based on a minimum of 20 with a maximum of 30 participants and the current exchange rate. This represents the in-country costs of your stay in Paris and includes:

  • 13 nights three-star hotel accommodation in Paris (Twin-share rooms) (Optional single room supplement +$770.00 per person)
  • All breakfasts
  • 2 dinners – a welcome dinner and our last night together
  • Public transportation – 2 x 5-day unlimited use Metro tickets zones 1-3
  • Coach transportation as per itinerary
  • Museum/Gallery Entrance fees as per itinerary
  • 3 x evening seminars
  • Tipping for included activities and meals
  • Local guides at all major sites as per itinerary

A deposit of $500 due 30th June 2016 will be required to reserve your place in the Paris Fieldwork unit with the balance of payment due 70 days prior to departure.

Note: Airfares are not included and you will need to make your own arrangements, we can recommend travel agents upon request.

The second sum will be your Intensive July, 2017 Student Contribution fee. Although the 2017 Commonwealth Support Place (CSP) fee is not yet known, the 2016 fee for an undergraduate 12 credit point unit is $1564. Enrolments for Intensive July will open as normal December 2016.

Essential that you pay the $500 deposit required to secure your place before 30th June 2016 and include your receipt number in your registration form.
Note: the deposit will become non refundable as at 1st September 2016

Once registrations have closed you will be contacted regarding information sessions, which will be held in Semester 1 2017.
