The Power Institute is proud to announce Mark Ledbury, Professor of Art History and Visual Culture and Director of the Power Institute, will be presenting as part of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences 2013 Inaugural Insights Lecture Series.
The Insights series showcases ideas and disciplines and is aimed at alumni, friends and the interested public. Professor Ledbury's presentation Art History and Discovery will ask us to think about discoveries in art history, true and false, and why they continue to fascinate us even in an era when interpretation and contextualisation are seen as the main task of the art historian.
We look forward to seeing you for refreshments at 5.30pm in the Nicholson Museum prior to Professor Ledbury's lecture, which commences at 6.00pm in the General Lecture Theatre, Thursday 8 August. Bookings can be made online via the Faculty website here.
Location: Refreshments - Nicholson Museum, Quadrangle | Lecture - General Lecture Theatre 1, The Quadrangle, University of Sydney
