Computer Access Labs

There are two Computer Access Labs located on level 2 of the Arts Digital Resource Centre adjacent to the Self Study room. The facilities include computers running Windows 2000 and the Microsoft Office suite of applications, internet access and printing.

The Access Computer Labs are maintained and staffed by Information and Communication Techonologies - all enquiries regarding bookings, facilities, costs and technical assistance should be directed to IT Assist on 16000 and not to the Resource Centre.

Access Lab 1
There are 16 computers and a printer located in this room which is open for use by individual students from any faculty during the Resource Centre's normal opening hours.

Access Lab 2
Across the corridor from Access lab 1, Access lab 2 is configured for classroom teaching as well as individual use and may be booked by teaching staff from any faculty. The room can accommodate 25 students and a teacher, each at their own computer. When not in use by booked classes the lab is open to individual students.

For classroom use data projection can be enabled from one of the computers if required, or a laptop can be interfaced to the projection system. Overhead projectors are also available, upon request, and printing is possible through the printer located in Access Lab 1.
