Unit of Study prerequisites are also reviewed from time to time. The prerequisites listed for units in your year of enrolment are valid for the duration of your candidature.
Clusters within Asian Studies
Undergraduate senior level units of study are grouped in two ways:
These two methods of clustering classes serve to give coherence, diversity, and choice to students, by grouping the existing units of study offered by Asian Studies into specialized clusters that students can select for their study focus. These clusters exist mainly to allow students to focus their studies on topic areas of their choice. Students are not required to take all units in any one cluster. Whatever specialisations the student selects, so long as the student completes the requisite 12 junior and 36 senior credit points, they will be able to major in Asian Studies.
The program encourages students to spend a period of exchange at an overseas university. The University’s International Exchange Program enables you to undertake approved overseas study, with the credit achieved counting towards your degree at the University of Sydney. Comprehensive information is available at the Student Exchange Office Website.
You can study at one of the many partner universities across the world with which the University has signed a formal exchange agreement.
