This seminar reports on the results of a study of the political economy of North Korea since the onset of the second nuclear crisis in 2002-3 into the Kim Jong Un era. It considers how North Korea’s external economic relations have evolved, including with China and Russia, and the implications of these changes for both economic reform and security issues on the peninsula.
Co-organised by the Department of Government and International Relations and the Centre for International Security Studies.
