CISS Director James Der Derian to speak at the 60th Sydney Film Festival Hub

CISS Director James Der Derian will be speaking as part of the 'Short Cuts 2: Quick Talks by Film Experts' event at the 60th Sydney Film Festival Hub


This year, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences reunites with the annual Sydney Film Festival as cultural partners in the festival's 60th year.

Special events curated and presented by the university includes a series of four fascinating short talks by film experts and academics. CISS Director James Der Derian will be giving a talk on Documenting Global Threats at the Short Cuts 2: Quick Talks by Film Experts which will be held as part of the Sydney Film Festival Hub program. 

The other speakers at the Shorts Cuts 2 event are Dr. Annamaree Jagose (Head of the School of Letters, Art and Media), Dr. Alaistair Blanshard (Senior Lecturer, Classics & Ancient History) and Dr. Jane Park (Senior Lecturer, Gender & Cultural Studies). 

The event will be held on Monday, June 10 at 6pm at the Sydney Film Festival Hub.
