Postgraduate Research enrolment is a very simple. During enrolment you will confirm your personal details and answer some general statistical questions, before providing your preferred payment option for the Student Amenities Fee (SAF).
You will be able to view your candidature details, including supervisor arrangements, earliest and latest completion dates, attendance status, and any Research Training Scheme (RTS) funding information you may need.
Enrolling in units of study
Ordinarily Postgraduate Research students do not need to enrol in coursework units of study. If you do wish to enrol in coursework units of study to complement your Postgraduate Research Thesis, then the unit of study must be relevant to research in your chosen thesis topic.
Whether or not you are intending to undertake coursework as part of your research candidature, you must proceed with your enrolment.
Please note: important information for those enrolling in either the Doctor of Arts or Doctor of Social Sciences.
The Doctor of Arts/Social Sciences has a mandatory coursework component consisting of two six credit point postgraduate research methods units of study. You may, however, enrol in additional undergraduate or postgraduate coursework units of study.
The coursework you undertake must be relevant to, and complement, your thesis research. As such, the units of study you undertake are subject to academic approval. Please refer to the Postgraduate Research Student Administration Manual for advice on coursework enrolment.
