The Master of Art Curating program has been designed to train tomorrow's top art curators and gallery professionals. Collaboratively designed and taught by the Department of Art History and Film Studies and the Sydney College of the Arts (SCA), the course will be introduced into the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences from Semester 1, 2014


Candidates for the Graduate Certificate in Art Curating must complete 24 credit points, including 12 credit points of core units of study, 6 credit points of core elective and 6 credit points of elective unit of study.

Candidates for the Graduate Diploma in Art Curating must complete 48 credit points, including 18 credit points of core units of study, 12 credit points of core elective units of study and 18 credit points of elective units of study.

Candidates for the Master of Art Curating must complete 72 credit points, including 18 credit points of core units of study and 12 credit points of core elective units of study, 6 credit points of capstone unit of study and 36 credit points of elective units of study.

Master of Art Curating students must complete either ARHT 6923 or (ARHT 6920 and ARHT 6921). Students completing the Dissertation can count ARHT6920 towards their elective component.
