The Learning Centre
The Learning Centre assists students to develop the generic skills, which are necessary for learning and communicating knowledge and ideas at university. The Centre is committed to helping students to achieve their academic potential throughout their undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
Programs available at The Learning Centre include workshops in Academic Reading and Writing, Oral communications Skills, Postgraduate Research Skills, Honours, masters Coursework Program, Studying at University, and Workshops for English Language and Learning (W.E.L.L).

Online Resources for Academic Writing
The Write Site provides online support to help you develop your academic and professional writing skills. All University of Sydney staff and students who have a Unikey can access the WriteSite.
Clearer Writing is for students who want to do well in written assignments at university. 'It is not enough to have good ideas and well-researched information, your ideas must be written clearly'. This site is designed to help students who have problems in organising their ideas and writing coherent, logical sentences and paragraphs.
Academic Writing Program
The University of Sydney is committed to supporting students in achieving a high level of skill in using English effectively and clearly in both oral and written contexts. Persuasive communication in English is a fundamental requirement in a successful course of study at the University and careers beyond.
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences has units at both an Undergraduate and Postgraduate level that focus on writing across the curriculum or, more specifically, writing in the disciplines, making them relevant for all university students.

The Koori Centre offers on-going academic support to all Indigenous Australian students enrolled at the University of Sydney, and is committed to helping them achieve their full academic potential.
The Centre provides tutorial assistance, access to computers, an Indigenous Research Library, study space, an orientation program at the beginning of the year and assistance in study and learning skills.
