4 years full-time
5 years full time-with Honours
A liberal studies degree is ideal for students who are passionate about both the humanities, including languages, and the sciences. The degree is distinguished from the combined Arts/Science degree by taking four years, not five, and requiring compulsory language study.
The Bachelor of Liberal Studies allows students to pursue their interests in science and the humanities while acquiring knowledge and skills that are applicable to many areas of employment. The extent of subject choice is very wide, and specific career options will depend upon students' choice of their Arts and Science majors.
Bachelor of Liberal Studies graduates can also undertake subsequent postgraduate programs that enable them focus on a major area of interest, diversify their studies, or study for a professional qualification by undertaking, for example, the University's graduate medicine or law degrees.
