Indian Subcontinent Studies deals with the languages and cultures of the Indian subcontinent. Academic staff have expertise in Mahayana Buddhist philosophy in India and Tibet; Ancient Indian history; Indian literature; Hinidi, Urdu, Persian and Pushto languages, and the influence of Persian on Hindi and Urdu languages.
