Teaching Improvement Projects Scheme (TIPS)
- administered through the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education),
- Applications should address one of the following themes:
- Projects on improving teaching, particularly in the areas of student engagement, student inclusion, feedback to students and research-led teaching.
- Projects on program learning outcomes, including benchmarking and standards-based assessment.
- Projects on recognising and rewarding good teaching.
- Projects on global citizenship and on diversity of staff and students.
Strategic Teaching Enhancement Projects (STEPS) – Small Grants
- administered and approved through the Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee,
- for projects of up to $10,000 each

- maximum amount of $2500

External Grants
ALTC Competitive Grants program
Priority 1: Research and development focusing on issues of emerging and continuing importance
Priority 2: Strategic approaches to learning and teaching that address the increasing diversity of the student body
Priority 4: Innovation in learning and teaching, including in relation to the role of new technologies
Funding range: $80,000 - $220,000
Project Duration: up to 2 years
ALTC Priority Projects Program
Priority 1: academic standards, assessment practices and reporting. Expected outcome: to improve higher education assessment practices and student learning outcomes
Priority 2: curriculum renewal. Expected outcome: to develop and model contemporary curricula that meet student and employer needs and provide the basis for ongoing personal and professional development for students
Priority 3: teaching and learning spaces. Expected outcomes: to develop and share creative solutions and models for new and modified physical learning spaces to enhance learning and teaching in higher education.
Funding range: $80,000 - $220,000
Project Duration: up to 2 years
