Learning Management System (LMS)
Arts eLearning is working closely with Sydney eLearning during the introduction the new University Learning Management System (LMS) LEARN (Blackboard).

SEAMS
SEAMS is the system used to create Blackboard sites and for the activation (A2A) of Blackboard sites.
Please note: when becoming a SEAMS user you need to contact Sydney eLearning to set up a password.
A2A Checklist
Please see if you have addressed the A2A Checklist
- Has the website been discussed/reviewed with a peer?
- Does the website contain a Unit Outline?
- Do you have a plan to communicate with students about how to access and use the site?
- Are the links to the IT and Sydney eLearning helpdesks still on the homepage?
- Is there an up to date year of publication and copyright notice on the UoS home page?
- Do all the resources for this website for the semester comply with the University Copyright policy?
While requesting the creation of a UoS site, it is recommended that you agree to allow Arts eLearning access. In this way, the eLearning team can assist you if you run into problems.
eLearning site "modes": Categorising your unit of study website

| A1 - informational |
The unit of study website provides information resources only (eg, unit of study outline, readings, links to other related websites). |
| A2 - supplemental | A1+ the unit of study website provides activities requiring active student participation but these are not part of the assessment framework for the unit of study. |
| B1 – blended (assessed) | A1+ The unit of study website provides activities requiring active student participation and these are assessed as part of the students’ performance. |
| B2 - blended (replacement) | A1+ The unit of study website provides activities requiring active student participation and these have replaced some of the face-to-face class time of students. |
| B3 – blended (replacement and assessment) | A1 + The unit of study website provides activities requiring active student participation and these are assessed and have replaced some of the face-to-face class time of students. |
| C1 - fully flexible | The unit of study website supports a unit of study which can be completed almost completely off campus (for example, the unit of study might require a residential weekend). |
