Abhijit Sengupta received his PhD from State University of New York and was on the faculty of the University of Western Ontario and of Waterloo University in Canada before joining the University of Sydney. Abhijit's main research interest is game theory. His research has been published in leading journals in economics such as American Economic Review and Journal of Economic Theory.
One of his current research projects on coalition formation is supported by an Australian Research Council Large Grant for years 2000-02. Abhijit was involved in the 1.3 billion dollar mobile telephony spectrum auction that took place in Australia during 2000 as a consultant on bidding strategy.
