Born in Algiers, Christine Jordis is a writer and Senior Editor at Editions Gallimard, where she is responsible for the choice of fiction written in English to be translated into French. She is a member of the Reading Committee and adviser in literary matters to Antoine Gallimard, the Centre National des Lettres and of the Franco-British Council.
