Australian Society for French Studies
The aims of the Australian Society for French Studies are:
- to promote for the public benefit teaching and research in French studies, understood in the broadest sense;
- to provide such help as may prove possible towards the promotion of study in these fields;
- to foster the coordination of teaching and research by all appropriate means, including the organising of conferences and seminars and the maintenance of registers of teaching and research;
- to maintain and foster links between Australian universities or institutions and those in France and French-speaking countries, as well as with such other bodies as may be thought fit.
Membership of the Society is open to any interested individual and institutions such as universities, university departments, schools or other institutions or bodies which undertake teaching or research in French studies or have an interest in French studies.
