Postgraduate Research in Digital Cultures
Over the past decades, everyday life has been increasingly marked by digitisation. All kinds of cultural practices have become mediated by digital technologies. Designers and users have taken up services such as the internet, digital audiovisual media, mobile media, location-sensing, computer games and media arts, encompassing instrumental and aesthetic applications.
Research in the Digital Cultures program focuses on the relationships between technological changes and such cultural practices. Since technocultural changes take place across many aspects of culture, we take a transdisciplinary approach, grounded in the critical humanities, cultural and media studies.
