Completing Your Degree

How many units you need to complete for your degree depends on a lot of factors, including which degree you are sitting and under which Degree Resolutions you entered. It has been made more complex by the recent changes to Units of Study that have made them all six-credit point subjects.

For best advice, we recommend you contact the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences , by telephone on +612 9351 3129 or in person at the Faculty Office, Level 2, Lobby H, Quadrangle Building A14.

At this time, for students commencing in 2006 or 2007, you will need to complete a major as part of your degree, and that major requires you to pass six senior units in one subject area. You can also see more information on the Cultural Studies major, and the Gender Studies major.
