Description

The books of the Hebrew Bible are studied in the light of their setting and their literary and linguistic features. The course consists of: set classical texts and special background area study, Dead Sea Scrolls Hebrew.

Assessments

2x1-hr exams (60%), assigned preparation of text for class [equivalent to 500wds] (10%), 1x2000wd essay (30%)

This unit is available as a designated 'Advanced' unit for students who are already enrolled in the BA (Advanced) degree program. As part of the 2014 curriculum review this unit of study has been replaced by HBRW3601. This unit of study will not be offered again.
