Structure
Candidates for the Graduate Certificate in Arts (History) must complete 24 credit points (four units of study), comprising 1 core unit plus 3 electives from the History postgraduate coursework offerings.

Subject to the approval of the academic coordinator, candidates may select units from outside their specialisation up to a maximum of half the course requirements. Units of study may be selected from other faculties as part of this amount to a maximum of 6 credit points for Graduate Certificate candidates.

Freedom of Choice
History is a flexible program, and you can structure your study to suit your needs. Thus, you can study for a Graduate Certificate, and then apply to complete two more units of study for a Graduate Diploma in History, subject to approval by the academic coordinator.
