History Department Response to Student Feedback
HSTY1031 - Renaissance and Reformation (2003)
Unit Coordinator: Dr Andrew Fitzmaurice
The overall satisfaction with the unit was high: ‘really enjoyed the unit, found it engaging and relevant’; ‘an excellent and absorbing unit of study, well taught and brilliant in its depiction of the big picture’. Lectures were well received: ‘Lecturer fantastic – very clear and structured’. The lecturer and tutors were responsive to concerns: ‘Lecturer and tutors were extremely helpful’.
Some students had trouble dealing with the primary material which they found hard to read. I will address this problem the next time this unit is offered by using modern editions of primary texts and spending more time in lectures and tutorials discussing the primary texts.
