HSTY2056: A House Divided: The American Civil War (2005)

Unit Coordinator: Dr Frances Clarke

I made numerous revisions to this unit after receiving evaluations from students in 2004. The revisions I made appear to have worked well. To the question of whether the teaching in this unit helped students learn effectively, 100% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed. Similarly, no respondents were dissatisfied with the quality of the unit. When I teach this unit again in 2006, under the 6 credit point system, I will re-evaluate reading lengths, assessments, and lecture topics in an effort to maintain this high level of student satisfaction.
