This course received a 100% agree and strongly agree rating on overall satisfaction in 2004, a figure that is indicative of how rewarding this course was for both students and staff.

It also received 100% satisfaction ratings on questions relating to the course’s relevance to students’ degree, responsiveness of staff to student feedback, usefulness of assessment feedback, and the feeling of being part of a group committed to learning.

Comments from students enrolled in the course included: “Provided valuable opportunity to demonstrate communication skills as well as develop critical and analytical skills”, “Discussion of ideas in a supportive environment always makes theories easier to grasp”, and “I loved it!”

Students particularly liked the broad ranging, transnational approach: “This course covered a lot of broad issues however it all connected together and you could see a lot of the links between ideas and theories.”

The response to the course website which was set up following student evaluations in 2003 was also very positive.
